A youth-led program focused on adventure, leadership, service, and growth for ages 14-20.
Established in 2025, Crew 3270 is built by experienced Scouts from Troop 3270 and continues to grow as members shape its direction through real planning and leadership.
About Venturing Crew 3270
Crew 3270 is a youth-led Venturing Crew within Scouting America for youth ages 14-20.
Venturing is a co-ed Scouting program designed for older youth who want more independence, challenge, and adventure. It focuses on leadership, experiences, service, and personal growth through hands-on activities.
Monticello Crew 3270 gives members a direct role in shaping the program – choosing activities, planning the outings, and helping decide the direction of the Crew as it grows.
What We Do
Crew 3270 is still growing, but members are already building a strong foundation of adventure, service, and shared experiences. Activities are planned by youth and shaped by the interests of the crew.
Adventure
Outdoor and World Exploration
Crew members take part in adventures that go beyond the local area – ranging from outdoor experiences and camping to travel, city exploration, and hands-on activities that build confidence, independence, and teamwork.
Leadership
Youth-Led Planning & Decision Making
Crew 3270 is led by its members. Youth plan activities, make decisions about outings, and take responsibility for shaping the direction of the crew.
Service
Community Impact
Service projects are an important part of the Crew experience. Members participate in projects that support the Monticello community and beyond while building responsibility and civic engagement.

Independence & Personal Development
Crew 3270 helps older youth develop independence, confidence, and real-world skills through leadership opportunities, travel, and challenging new experiences.
